Near the Navaratna temple there is a Shiva temple of craftsmanship and a Chandi temple of worship. The temple is known as Navaratna temple for its 9 pinnacles carved with terracotta designs of foliage, fruits and deities. The temple full of Madhyayogic artwork has an entrance on the east side and steps on the north side of the Kuthuri. This is how the Navaratna temple  built.

Shahjadpur Mosque

Sirajganj district is located at the very end of Shahjadpur Sadar Dargapara on the bank of Hura Sagar river. It believed that the famous Sufi monk Makhdum Shah built this mosque in the 15th century. No written evidence has determined this date. The mosque built in the 15th century as the architectural and decorative style of the mosque. A group of multi-domed rectangular mosques.

The Shahjadpur Mosque features three rows of five domes, for a total of fifteen domes covering the structure. The length of the mosque is 19.13 meters from north to south and 12.60 meters from east to west. Its interior length and width are 15.77 meters and 9.60 meters respectively and the walls are 1.57 meters thick. This mosque divided into a total of fifteen quadrangular areas by dividing the aisles into five colonnades and three colonnades running north-south perpendicular to the qibla wall. In this mosque, which is one of the oldest in Bangladesh, all features of the mosque architecture developed during the early Sultanate period  observed.

The Bangabandhu Bridge, also known as the Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge, is a marvel of modern engineering. Bangabandhu Jamuna Eco Park (Sights of Sirajganj District)

Bangabandhu Jamuna Eco Park is the only recreation center of Sirajganj district. In 2007, Bangabandhu Jamuna Eco Park was established on 120 acres of land by the Forest Department on the west bank of Bangabandhu Bridge. Surrounded by the natural greenery of Sunibi, this park attracts visitors every day due to the scenic views of the Yamuna River and the Bangabandhu Bridge, open wildlife and lush natural surroundings.

The eco-park area has an open range of wild animals including deer, squirrels, wildebeests, snakes, gussaps and various species of birds. Caged animals include peacocks, monkeys, sajaru, rabbits etc.

Shiva Temple, Tarash (Sights of Sirajganj District)

An inscription dated 1661 AD on the broken Jorbangala in Tarash reveals that the service of the Gopinath Vigraha here was from the Naga clan Kayastha. Kapileshwar and Govinda Mandir are among the several idol temples of Vinod Ray, Govindaji, Rashik Ray, Kapileshwar Shiva etc. Every temple here has unique craftsmanship. These temples  built with small bricks in ancient times.

Once upon a time hearing the name of Tarasash would create fear or longing in the mind. Many believe that the name Tarash has originated from the word Taras. Next to Tarash (the ancient name was Chandergaon) is now Binsara village. You can go by rickshaw, it will take 10 to 15 minutes.

Home of Suchitra Sen and poet Rajinikanth Sen

Legendary film actress Suchitra Sen and poet Rajinikanth Sen were born in Bhangabari village of Sirajganj district. There is their residence. People from different parts of the country flock here to see the beloved heroine and poet’s house. This abandoned house occupies a lot of space.

The ancestral home of Rabindranath Tagore

The ancestral house of Rabindranath Tagore known as Rabindra Kachari Bari is located in Shahjadpur Upazila of Sirajganj District. In 1842 Rabindranath Tagore’s grandfather Prince Dwarkanath Tagore bought the bar from the British. Rabindranath stayed in this zamindar house for 7 years. Rabindranath wrote various literary works like Chitra, Sena Tari, Chaitali, Gitanjali and Visarjan from this house. The Rabindra Kachari house of about ten bighas has  developed as the Rabindra Museum at present.

Various pictures of Rabindranath, used items are stored here. Here are the works of art painted by the poet, photographs and furniture of the poet’s childhood, adolescence, youth. Every day, many ten students from far and wide come to visit the place where the memory of the poet intertwined.
