Objectives of Building Mahal

This building was built to entertain the ladies of the royal family. Rajmahishi used to celebrate various festivals in this area. Even though the veil was veiled outside, inside the Hawa Mahal, the queens and royal women were completely independent. Men were not allowed to enter Hawa Mahal without permission. Common people could see the mahal from outside but could not see anything inside.

But because of the chick placed in the window, the women of the neighborhood could see the public life outside. And through this jharokha or chik, the air continuously circulates to keep the room cool. Another name of this neighborhood is Hawa Mandir. Kings used to spend time here with queens. Better to say more clearly, this Hawa Mahal was the royal ‘honeymoon destination’ of kings and queens.
