The 451 feet high concrete the tower has given the title of tallest the tower in the world by Guinness World.

Construction (201 dome mosque in Bangladesh)
The construction of this mosque started in 2013 under the initiative of Rafiqul Islam Welfare Trust. Rizia Khatun, mother of the founder chairman of Rafiqul Islam Welfare Trust, laid the foundation stone for the construction work. Approximately 100 crore rupees will be spent on the construction of the mosque.

An 81 feet high dome tops the mosque and around this dome there are 200 smaller domes. Each is 17 feet tall. This beautiful mosque has 4 minarets at the four corners. Each is 101 feet tall. Besides, there are four more minarets of 81 feet height. The tallest minaret at 451 feet is located next to the mosque. This mosque is built in such a way that it is 144 feet in length and 144 feet in width.
Around 15,000 people can pray in the mosque at the same time. The full Quran Sharif is engraved on the tiles on the walls of the mosque. 50 maunds of brass will be used to construct the main door of the mosque. The highest minaret of the mosque will be built to give the call to prayer. The mosque is fully air-conditioned.
201 dome Mosque Complex:
The huge mosque and mosque complex situated on 15 bighas of land. Next to the Mihrab, a freezer will build to store dead bodies. Apart from this, a separate building will construct next to the mosque, which will have a free hospital for destitute women, an orphanage, an old age home, rehabilitation facilities for destitute freedom fighters and their families, a library, a religious research center based on Quran and Sunnah, technical and IT training for unemployed youth.
Tourists from the country and abroad have started coming to see the beautiful mosque. Its specialized floor tiles absorb the outside temperature and keep the floor cool. A helipad has constructed on an area of 18 bighas around the mosque. Apart from this, sufficient space for car parking has also arranged here. 201 If you want to visit the Dome Mosque from any part of Bangladesh, you must first come to Tangail district headquarters. The mosque is 40 km from Tangail Sadar and about 10 km from Gopalpur Upazila Sadar. From Tangail by bus or CNG you can reach Gopalpur upazila by renting auto or CNG and you can easily go to 201 Gumbuj Masjid. In case of return you can come by bus from Gopalpur. The last Dhaka-bound bus leaves Gopalpur at 5 pm.
How to get to 201 Dome Mosque from any country:
From any country you have to come to “Shahjalal International Airport, Uttara” Dhaka. Shahjalal International Airport, Tangail reached by car from any point on Dhaka-Tangail highway. You can go to Gopalpur by fast bus from Tangail Sadar by bus or train from Dhaka to Tangail. From there you can go to the mosque as above.

One can go to Tangail from Dhaka or nearby districts during the day and return within the night. If you want to stay overnight, there are several good quality hotels and resorts in Tangail and Elenga.
